You get some gear from chests and battle items, so check and see if they're good enough.Īnd before you buy anything for the weapons shop, sell him your materials. You probably don't want to get to much gear until you've gone into a dungeon at least once. If you've leveled up a few times the lower-level enimies should go away with a few sword swings, which doesn't cost SP. Some of the draks are HP items, and some are SP.Īlso, when you get the option to do quests for the fox, do as many quests for the fox as possible so you don't blow through all of your Yen buying healing form the fox.Īgain, my biggest suggesting is to grind at the lower floors. I beat her at level 14.Īlso, should I buy gear at first or should I wait until I get in the dungeon to get gear? If you're worried about SP managment (which I understand FYI, one of the hardest mechanics to work around in early game) then make sure to stop by all the vending machines.

Shadow Yukiko is probably one of the hardest bosses in the game. Making him flee makes Shadow Yukiko skip a turn (he runs away at around 25% HP)

The Charming Prince she summons is weak to Electric, so if you for some reason still have Izanagi around, you can get an easy One More off of him. Obaryion (level 13 Fool) resists both Phys and Fire, but doesn't really learn anything that stands out. Saki Mitama (level 11 Priestess) has Bufu and learns Media, which will help keep your team not-dead, and can use Sukunda on Yukiko herself to minimize the pain. Chie can reliably knock her down every turn, and if you fuse something with Bufu, you can potentially get two All-Out Attacks a turn until she casts White Wall. You ideally want something that resists or nulls Fire or something that, optionally, resists Physical since she can use Double Fangs. Weapons don't matter as much as you'd expect, and for the most part you'll use weapons you get in the dungeons unless you've built up a nice nest egg. Persona 3 and 4 do a really great job of preventing me from doing this with SP.Īlso, should I buy gear at first or should I wait until I get in the dungeon to get gear? Generally in gaming, I am the type of person that will FARM from sundown to sunrise, go into boss fights massively overleveled, and destroy the boss. I thought I was on the verge of killing it until she brought out adds, and then I rage quit. I got to Yukiko's final boss, and I knew I was way underleveled. You will need to grind for Shadow Yukiko, since she's about level 15. It beats the dungeon mechanics you use for the rest of the game into you.Īll I can say is, take regular breaks, don't be afraid to spend more than a few days on it, and try to draw Cups and Wand cards whenever possible.

Yukiko's Castle is supposed to be fairly difficult. Originally posted by 1337Walrus:How far in the game are you? What level are you?
